The week in mandersmedia

Welcome! I hope you’ve had a great week…

The news this week is the chosen charity which mandersmedia supports… We are supporting Help Musicians UK, they support emerging musicians as well as those that are working and retired along with supporting musicians’ health and well-being. It’s such a great cause and fits in so well. They are currently raising funds for the world’s first dedicated 24/7 mental health service for people working in music. What a fantastic cause.

In other news, we have this rarity from the mid-sixties Prince Buster All Stars* ‎– It’s Burke’s Law just come in, a fantastic piece of Ska and Rocksteady on the legendary Blue Beat label. Along with this, we have rarities including these from Jimmy Barnes and Mikey Dread (featured last week).

Soon we will be running features on the play grading equipment mandersmedia uses, we have chosen some of the best in their format to be able to give you the best possible feedback on your playgrading request (eg. for 8 Track, we use an Akai CR-81D).

There’s a big focus on listing new items, CD, then cassettes and maybe some more vinyl this week, we believe in listing everything we can, after all, one of the most used Hip Hop samples of all time was from an album originally pulled from a dollar bin!

How do you fancy a podcast? or some You Tube videos? What would you like them to be on? Feed back as we’re always interested in hearing your opinions.

That’s everything for this week, as always, keep your eyes peeled on the Blog for news stories around all different genres of music.

Have a great week! John from mandermedia.
