PledgeMusic News We Came As Romans Release Music Video for “Lost In The Moment”

[[jpg193148]]

Following the release of the title track, We Came As Romans have given fans another taste of their upcoming album. Whereas “Cold Like War” was a fast-paced, heavy sampling of the record, “Lost In The Moment” showcases their more melodic side, while incorporating synth-pop elements. You can watch the music video for the new single on Loudwire.

“This song is about not getting caught in the monotony and routine of life,” bassist Andy Glass tells Loudwire. “Being able to truly experience every day, instead of cruising on autopilot watching life pass you by. Making the conscious effort of breathing life in, taking a risk, or being adventurous. We tried to portray this in our video with various colors and objects. The box and the static represents being trapped in routine. The colors and the ink effects represent the feeling of breaking free. Because at the end of the day, you’re the only one to blame for not putting the effort forth to make the most out of each day.”

Pre-order Cold Like War on PledgeMusic, along with album bundles and signed memorabilia (including instruments autographed by the band). Also, reserve once-in-a-lifetime experiences like an album listening with the band at your house, or being a roadie for a day.

PledgeMusic News 3rd Quarter Round Up — Dominic Pandiscia PledgeMusic CEO

[[jpg193054]]

The sunny days of summer to the crispness of early fall…. also known as “Q3”.  So what happened with PledgeMusic beyond the staff stealing some holiday time to travel, catch some rays, and prepare for “back to school”?  To start, PledgeMusic turned eight!  To celebrate, we happened to have had our second biggest month in the HISTORY of the company in August (second only to March of this year!).  Both sides of the pond contributed to some massive chart successes, including Gary Numan (#2, Gary’s highest UK album chart position since 1980’s Telekon) and Thomas Rhett (#1 US. debut!), driving four of the Top 10 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart in the US, helping to land OMD (#4, their highest placing since 1991), Reverend & The Makers, and Newton Faulkner all Top 20 in the UK charts, and much more!

The US launched Amplify, its dedicated developing artist initiative, shining a light on five artists that were hand-picked to be in the program and sponsored by Epiphone, FYE, Guitar Center, Austin Eastciders, and Health-Ade Kombucha. Look for the next wave of artists accepted to be announced in December (submission announcement coming soon as well as the addition of some more sponsors!).

In addition to supporting the career development of new artists, we’ve had some of the biggest and most exciting names in music on the platform through Q3 including David Gray, Kevin Godley, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton, Joe Satriani, RED, Carla Bruni, Dustin Lynch, Wanda Jackson (autobiography), John Lodge of the Moody Blues, U.N.K.L.E, Nerina Pallot, Phoebe Bridgers, Metal Blade Records 35th Anniversary Book, Bob Dylan, the return of Lindsey Stirling with a holiday album, and Sixx:A.M. with the 10th anniversary of The Heroin Diaries which includes a newly created GRAPHIC NOVEL of the book created in partnership with Heavy Metal Magazine!

As we continue to grow as a business, our team expands accordingly; new staff joining the US company including Nate Baker (Artist & Label Relations) and Kevin Kiernan (Artist Solutions), and in the UK Ben James (Acquisitions), Thom Debaere (Head Of Manufacturing & Fulfilment UK/EU) and Molly Bolton (Campaign Support). We have also re-birthed the NoiseTrade platform. In addition to downloads, we now offer full-on streaming access to content. The impact on engagement was immediate as, through us, fans now can discover and access content in just about any way they would like.

What will Q4 bring? We have quite a few surprises up our sleeve including holiday albums by some amazing artists. Stay tuned at pledgemusic.com to see what will be revealed!

This day in music On this Day September 30, 2003

An auction of the contents of Sir
Elton John’s London home raised more than £1.4 million. An oil painting, entitled Madison Square Park, sold for £67,200, and a 19th Century portrait of Lieutenant George Dyer, painted by James Northcote in 1817, fetched £55,200. Sir Elton sold off the items so he could redecorate his home in a more modern style.

Jazzwise News

This year’s EFG London Jazz Festival features a performance by intriguing blues-soul-jazz trio Joon Moon, who are set to headline Rich Mix on 16 November, with support from progessive neo-classical pianist James Heather. Established in the Montmartre area of Paris in 2014, Joon Moon are the brainchild of songwriter/producer Julien Decoret – known for his long-standing work with Nouvelle Vague – and drummer/producer Raphaël Chassin, who together create a moody, cinematic soundworld that perfectly complements the aching, soulful voice of maverick soul-jazz singer Krystle Warren.

Ahead of their London Jazz Festival gig, Jazzwise is pleased to be able to present a preview of the title track from their album, Moonshine Corner, which is set for release on 29 September. For more info visit http://ift.tt/2xCQf3A
